Service Description

Rainbow Literacy and Learning Society is working in collaboration with Vulcan Family Community Support Services to deliver this after-school program in Lomond. • To promote positive, enjoyable interactions and the importance of cognitive, social, and emotional with children/youth. • To provide strategies to support the children’s development and coping skills, including home and classroom use. • To share information with students and share resources that encourage and support the development of self-esteem. • Provide students who may be facing literacy issues of their own with a safe environment to learn more about literacy and to provide additional support when asked. • To help strengthen and build upon healthy relations by modeling positive behaviour in daily routines. • To offer practical and social support to students to encourage them to access other supports, including community resources. • To promote the use of community resources to support the child/youth’s development.
