Books for Babies

Service Description

Books for Babies is a four-week program that encourages parents to take a critical look at the books they choose for their infants. Each week of the program focuses on a different aspect of sharing books with children: age and stage appropriateness of books, safety issues, story content and helping parents increase their child’s early literacy development. A book is showcased each week, and parents are given the book and strategies to use it with their children. Parents understand that the program will not teach their baby to read but will help expose their children to language and early literacy experiences.
