Building Blocks

Service Description

Parents are children's first and most important teachers. Building Blocks provides parents with the strategies they need to become both better teachers and learners and to use those same strategies with their children. This is an in-home support program for families with children ages 0-17. A trained Literacy Builder meets with the family for one hour sessions focused on the goals and skills the family has developed with the Builders. Strategies and activities promote language development, reading and writing, parenting skills and how to model lifelong learning.
